Stonehaven Wallace Day 2004

Stonehaven William Wallace Day 2004, ScotlandThe plans for 2004 are already well underway.

The 2004 Stonehaven Wallace Day will take place on Saturday the 28th of Aug 2004. The march will leave Stonehaven at 2pm to make its way to the castle. Also watch this web site for details of what Stonehaven has planned for the 700th anniversary.

At night Gaberlunzie once again provide the entertainment at the St Leanords Hotel in Bath Street Stonehaven. The music will kick off around 8.30 pm. The Hotel is also doing special rates for the Wallace weekend and can be contacted at 01569 762044.

James McFadden - Scotland ONE holland NILWell, I have received a few requests lately for the mp3 of the goal as I heard it on Radio Scotland. I did the capture of most of the match at Hampden so - listen and enjoy to McFaddy’s goal.

Too pity it was completely different situation few days later in Amsterdam. And the Radio Scotland guy celebrated Holland goals with the same passion!?

Stonehaven Wallace Day 2003

Stonehaven William Wallace Day 2003, ScotlandBrendan McCabe brings a story about Stonehaven Wallace Day this year and the plans for the 2004.

The 2003 was yet another sucessful year, it was however a particularly poignant day for quite a few people there following the death of Alan Knight who had started the Wallace Day 23 years ago and had been a regular at every Wallace Day since if it wasnt for Alan there would be no Wallace Day.

The day started with Davie Ross doing a talk in the Royal Hotel in Stonehaven as usual there was a good turnout for this and Davie was able to supply more details of how plans were progressing for his walk to London in 2005. (more…)

Scotland’s World Cup Fixtures

Scottish Football AssociationScotland will both start and finish their World Cup qualifying campaign with games against against Slovenia. Group favourites Italy welcome the Tartan Army in March next year in the fourth game of the Scottish schedule.

Berti Vogts’ side kick off with two home games, against Slovenia on Wednesday, September 8 and Norway on Saturday, October 9. The potentially tricky trip to Moldova will take place in October and the game in Italy in March is the first fixture after a break for winter. (more…)

Kemal Karic Appeal

Kemal Karic (nicknamed Kemo) was born on 29 January 1992 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Even before the time he could say ‘mum’, even before he was three months old - on 20 April 1992, his mother was killed by a mortar explosion while she was running towards shelter. She was carrying little Kemo who was heavily injured. He lost his right leg. One of the youngest war victims in Sarajevo, or to say a survivor. (more…)
